Rewards Terms
Last updated: November 3, 2026
OurWorld is operated by Top Talent LA Management Inc. These terms explain OurWorld’s referral program: how you can earn rewards for inviting people to OurWorld, and the rules that keep it fair. They add to our Terms of Service. If the two disagree about the referral program, these Rewards Terms apply.
The short version
- Share your referral link. When someone new joins through it, you can earn a percentage of what OurWorld makes from their payments for a limited time.
- New earning periods pay 5% of OurWorld’s net revenue for two calendar months from the first qualifying payment.
- New rewards are held before they’re approved, and they’re reversed if the payment is refunded or charged back.
- No self-referrals: you can’t earn on your own purchases or your own world.
- Once payouts start, approved rewards are paid to your own Stripe account on a regular schedule after they add up to the payout minimum. Your Referrals page shows when payouts have started.
1. About the program
OurWorld runs a referral program that rewards people who bring new members and creators to OurWorld. Taking part is free and optional. Rewards come from OurWorld, not from the people you refer or the creators they support.
There are two kinds of referral:
- Member referrals. You earn on what OurWorld makes from the payments of a person you referred.
- Creator referrals. You earn on what OurWorld makes from payments to the world of a creator you referred.
You don’t pick between them. We work out which one applies from each payment.
Taking part doesn’t make you an employee, agent or partner of OurWorld, and you can’t speak or make promises on our behalf.
2. Who can take part
You must be at least 18 years old and have an OurWorld account in good standing to take part and share a referral link.
Restricted accounts don’t earn rewards. If your account is restricted, your referral links stop working and you don’t earn rewards while the restriction is in place.
You can refer people who are new to OurWorld. Someone who already had an OurWorld account before they opened your link can’t become your referral.
3. Your referral link
Your Referrals page shows your referral code and the link to share. You can change your code. Codes use 4 to 24 letters, numbers or single dashes. Some codes are reserved, such as codes that look official or match another creator’s world. When you change your code, links with your earlier codes keep working.
Don’t choose a code that is misleading or offensive, or that uses someone else’s name or brand.
4. Who counts as your referral
Someone becomes your referral when they open your link and then create an OurWorld account within 30 days. If they opened more than one referral link before signing up, the first link they opened counts. We use a cookie to remember the link while they sign up, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Each person can be the referral of only one person, and that doesn’t change later.
You can’t be your own referral. That includes another account with the same verified phone number or email address as yours.
5. How rewards are earned
A reward is a percentage of what OurWorld makes from an eligible payment: what OurWorld keeps after the creator’s share and fees, not counting taxes.
- For a member referral, eligible payments are what your referral buys on OurWorld, such as a membership or another purchase.
- For a creator referral, eligible payments are payments to their world.
For new earning periods, the rate is 5% of OurWorld’s net revenue and the earning period is two calendar months. This applies to fans and creators.
Your earning period for a referral starts with their first qualifying payment, as long as it comes within 90 days of them becoming your referral. An earning period that opened under earlier terms keeps its original rate and end date.
Only payments made after someone became your referral count, and each payment earns at most one reward. If a payment could count for both a member referral and a creator referral, it counts as a member referral. Visits, sign-ups, applications and approvals don’t earn rewards by themselves.
Rewards are calculated in the currency of the payment and rounded down to the smallest unit of that currency, such as a cent.
6. Holds, approval and reversals
New rewards show as Pending. We hold each one for a hold period, so there’s time for refunds and disputes. After the hold period, a reward becomes Approved unless its payment is being disputed.
If a payment is refunded, disputed or charged back, we can hold or reverse the reward for it. When money goes back to the buyer, we reverse the reward in full or in proportion to the amount returned. Reversed rewards show as Reversed in your referral activity.
We can also put a reward On hold while we look into its payment or your account. A reward on hold isn’t approved until we lift the hold.
Approved means a reward has passed its hold. It doesn’t mean it has been paid.
7. Payouts
We pay approved rewards to a Stripe account in your name. Payouts start when we turn them on. Until then, your Referrals page shows what you’ve earned and what’s pending, and says that payouts haven’t started.
- Where they go. If you run a world on OurWorld, rewards go to your world’s payout account, the same one your earnings go to. Otherwise you set up payouts once from your Referrals page: Stripe asks who you are and where to send your money, on its own pages.
- When and how much. We pay on a regular schedule. Each payout includes your approved rewards that aren’t on hold, once they add up to at least the payout minimum. Rewards below the minimum carry over to a later payout. Your Referrals page shows the schedule, the payout minimum and the next payout date.
- To your bank. Stripe then pays your Stripe balance out to your bank on your Stripe account’s schedule. Bank arrival times vary.
We don’t pay you while your payout account isn’t set up or Stripe has restricted it, while a payment behind one of your rewards is disputed or its refund is under review, while a refund or chargeback has taken back part of a reward we already paid, or while we review an earlier payout. Your approved rewards stay yours and go out with a later payout. If a payout fails or is reversed, its rewards become unpaid again and go out with a later payout.
Paid rewards show as Paid in your referral activity, and each payout shows in your payout history.
8. Fair play
To keep the program fair:
- No self-referrals. Don’t refer yourself or another account you control. You can’t earn rewards on your own purchases or on payments to your own world.
- Share honestly. Don’t send spam or unwanted messages, make misleading claims about OurWorld or any creator, or suggest that you speak for OurWorld.
- Keep it real. Don’t create fake accounts or purchases, and don’t pay or reward people to sign up or buy through your link.
- Follow the rules. Follow our Terms of Service and the rules of any site or app where you share your link.
Rewards gained through fraud, abuse or a breach of these terms are forfeited. If we find any, we can reverse the rewards involved, remove you from the program and restrict your account. If you’re removed from the program, your Referrals page says so and new payments don’t earn rewards.
9. Taxes
You’re responsible for any taxes on rewards you receive. We may ask for tax information before paying rewards where the law requires it.
10. Changes to the program
We can change or end the referral program, including its rates, earning periods and hold periods. We’ll give notice before a change takes effect, in the app or by email. Changes apply from that point on: earning periods that have already started keep the rate and length they started with.
If we end the program, no new earning periods start, and earning periods already under way run to their end.
We may also update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
